Arrive at New Chitose Airport and meet your guide at the designated time (flight arrival time between 12:00pm - 2:00 pm). Transfer by motor-coach to downtown Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido. Sapporo seamlessly blends modern cityscapes with natural beauty, offering distinct experiences throughout the four seasons. After checking in at the hotel, you can explore independently—perhaps stroll through Odori Park or savor a bowl of Hokkaido's famous ramen to unwind for the journey ahead.
After breakfast, head to Biei, often referred to as Hokkaido’s “Gallery of Fields,” where you’ll be treated to diverse seasonal scenery. Visit Farm Tomita, where colorful fields of flowers stretch into the distance, backed by mountain views. Indulge in the local lavender ice cream while enjoying the beautiful landscapes. Then, explore the Shikisai no Oka with its rainbow-like fields of flowers. In the afternoon, travel along the Patchwork Road, famous for its quilt-like farmlands, before stopping at the Hokusei-no-oka Observatory for panoramic views of the rolling hills and distant mountains. Continue to Sounkyo Gorge in Daisetsuzan National Park, where steep cliffs, waterfalls, and lush greenery create a serene setting.

Start your day with a ride on the Kurodake Ropeway, taking in the stunning views of the mountains and valleys. Continue to Abashiri to visit the Okhotsk Drift Ice Museum, where you’ll learn about the region’s unique winter phenomenon and experience freezing temperatures of -15°C. From the observation deck at Mount Tento, enjoy panoramic views of Abashiri, the Sea of Okhotsk, and Lake Notoro. In autumn, witness the sea of red coral grass (from late September to early October), a natural wonder that transforms the wetlands into a breathtaking spectacle. Later, stop at Oshinkoshin Waterfall, known as the gateway to Shiretoko, before arriving in Shiretoko for the night.

After lunch, embark on a boat cruise along the rugged Shiretoko coastline, where you may spot seals, seabirds, and waterfalls cascading down cliffs. End the day by enjoying a lavish buffet at your hotel.

Today, explore Hokkaido’s volcanic and lake wonders. Start with a visit to Mount Iou, an active volcano that still emits sulfurous gases, creating a dramatic landscape. Continue to Lake Akan, known for its tranquility and the unique spherical algae called marimo. Take a scenic boat ride across the lake, admiring the untouched natural surroundings. Visit the Marimo Exhibition Center before enjoying the stunning sunset over the Akan mountains.

Start your day with a visit to the Crane Reserve in Kushiro, a sanctuary for Japan’s iconic red-crowned cranes, symbolizing longevity and happiness. Enjoy fresh seafood at Washo Market in Kushiro before heading to Tokachigawa, known for its unique moor hot springs, where you can relax and soak in the rejuvenating waters. After breakfast, return to Sapporo for a city tour. Visit the famous Shiroi Koibito Park, home of Hokkaido’s famous white chocolate cookies, and snap photos at the old railway and marionette clock tower. The greatest feature of Hotel Daiheigen is the vast natural expanse of Tokachi, Hokkaido. Tokachi lays claim to the richest area of natural wonders in Hokkaido. Surrounded by the Daisetsuzan and Akan National Parks, Tokachi River flows from the mountains and meanders through the extensive Tokachi Plain. Tokachigawa Onsen is known as a "beautifying hot spring", the plant-derived moor hot spring abounds in natural moisturizing ingredients that leave your skin smooth after bathing. In addition, this area is blessed with a wide variety of ingredients. Many of the vegetables served in our restaurants are lovingly produced at the hotel's farm. They excel not only in flavor but also in terms of purity, since we hardly use any pesticide. We take pride in using locally sourced ingredients, embracing the motto of "local production for local consumption."

The hotel is designed to evoke the luxury of late 19th Century Vienna, with the name Edelhof meaning "Manor House" in German. The hotel is built on the site of the former Hokkaido Regional Forestry Office, and to this day there are many reminders of the site's history such as the big leafy trees in the hotel grounds, helping to create the ambience of a traditional Manor House garden. We hope our guests will feel part of the story of classical Vienna during their stay.
