Then, continue to the Bavarian capital of Munich, known for its imposing squares and monuments, and annual Oktoberfest beer festival. Today starts with a sightseeing tour of Munich, followed by a drive to the Romantic Road's southernmost point, the town of Fussen. Soak in the views of hilltop Neuschwanstein Castle*, a fairytale-like ensemble of towers and spires set against the white-capped Alps. Built in the 19th century by "mad" King Ludwig II, the castle inspired Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Afterward, continue through gorgeous countryside to Austria and Mozart’s home town of Salzburg. Here, perhaps take our optional tour to the historic Bad Dürrnberg Salt Mines that brought wealth to Salzburg in medieval times. Ride a train into the salt tunnels, cruise on the salt lake, and learn about the trade before returning to Salzburg.

Today, fall in love with Baroque Salzburg, Austria's "Sound of Music" city. Afterward, explore Salzburg's charming Old Town. Enjoy free time to look round, perhaps enjoying the panoramic views from the Hohensalzburg Fortress, or visiting the townhouse where Wolfgang Mozart was born, now a museum. I am very pleased with the tour setup. The time management is good since we have to visit so many countries in a set time, The tour gives me a chance to see many cities and experience variety culture. The hotel we stayed is nice. Even they are not 5 star fancy hotel, they are clean and comfortable. We have several opportunities to pick our own lunch which is very nice. I enjoyed sitting outside of the restaurant and watching the city view. Weather is nice in May for east Europe. Overall peony provides a good quality of service. Highly recommend.We are lucky to have an excellent tour guide and safe driver. They make the trip enjoyable. Our tour guide, Damian, and driver, saprine, deserve a big round of applause. Since our trip covers a lot of countries, we spend quite some time on the road. Saprine's driving is safe and steady. Damian always courteous, give clear instruction and takes good care of everyone.

Tour Leader Juliette Lu was very organized and paid good attention to details for a large group of 42 guests. I appreciated her English-Chinese use in the tour for those who were not very knowledgeable of the Chinese-Mandarin language. Siu Fun was very helpful in answering all my questions and pre-handling preparation for the Eastern Europe trip. Suggestion: There should be a bus sitting procedure in place for people going solo. I avoided any displeasure by sitting on the back of the bus, which was not assigned to anyone. Fortunately, Mario, our long distance coach driver, was excellent and the ride was not bumpy and smooth all the way.

Mr. John Huang is a very experienced and responsible tour manager. He provided tour details everyday, made sure everyone was counted for and safe. He was very funny and personal too. At the end he gave us a recap of where we went, it was a wonderful trip. Miss Daisy Wu was extremely responsive with our bookings. She answered all our questions and concerns promptly. Bus driver David was very skillful driving the bus. He kept us on schedule and safe. Jenny, the local guide in Vienna, was the best guide for the trip. Her narrative at the museum was the highlight of the tour. She spoke in both English and Chinese, she's a good story-teller and caught everyone's attention. Munich, Budapest and Prague were too crowded, did not enjoy that much. Vienna was beautiful, clean and elegant. Smaller cities were more fun, such as Wurzburg, Saltzburg and Karlovy Vary. They're charming and had many things for tourists to do. Sixteen Lake National Park was absolutely beautiful. Air was so crisp and fresh. All the optional tours were worth-while and good. There were 47 people in our group. I thought the max was 40? Should have got a better bus for the large group. Some people arrived at Frankfurt Airport at 6am. The last group arrived at 11:30am. We arrived at 8:30am, were told we would leave at 10:30am. But we had to wait until the last group got to the parking lot, it was past noon. Should have sent people to hotel at least two trips. Some people had to wait for 6 hours.

Overall I really enjoyed this tour. Damien was an amazing tour guide - no complaints from me for him! He's friendly, easy going and interacted really well with us throughout the whole tour. When our family ran into trouble with a few things he was so helpful and handled it really well, he definitely made this tour all the more enjoyable. As for it itinerary - I wished we only stayed one night in Prague and another in Karlovy Vary. It would've been nice to be able to go to the thermal spas there.
